We've got some kind of wonderful news for you! The national tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical opens in Portland on November 1. The hit Broadway musical will play the Keller Auditorium through November 6. Beautiful stars Julia Knitel as Carole King and Liam Tobin as Gerry Goffin.

Directed by Marc Bruni and with a book by Tony and Academy Award nominee Douglas McGrath, Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

The score of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical features a host of unforgettable hit songs, including "So Far Away," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "The Locomotion," "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," "One Fine Day," "You've Got a Friend," "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" and "I Feel the Earth Move."

In addition to Knitel and Tobin, the show stars Erika Olson as Cynthia Weil, Ben Fankhauser as Barry Mann, Curt Bouril as Donnie Kirshner and Suzanne Grodner as Genie Klein.
