One of the finest musical comedies ever written!

Gotta Have the Game! Tickets Now on Sale for Guys and Dolls in Portland

There are well-heeled shooters everywhere as Guys and Dolls prepares to play in Portland. Tickets are now on sale for the national tour of the hit musical. The show will open on March 10, 2015 at the Keller Auditorium and close on March 15.

Bustling with gamblers, gangsters and sassy showgirls, Guys and Dolls celebrates Broadway’s golden era with one of the greatest scores ever written for a musical by the legendary Frank Loesser, book and lyrics by Joe Swerling and comedy legend Abe Burrows, and Damon Runyon’s comic book world of 1940s Times Square in New York City. Guys and Dolls introduces audiences to a cast of characters who have become legends in the musical theater world. Loesser's toe-tapping score, including fan-favorites such as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat” and “I’ve Never Been In Love Before” is the perfect music to complement Runyon’s colorful characters.

Guys and Dolls originally conquered Broadway in 1951, running for 1200 performances and winning five Tony Awards including Best New Musical. It was subsequently made into the beloved film starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. In 1992, the show won four Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical.
